How to Pack a Large Vase for Moving

Large vases are delicate and often irreplaceable, whether they are decorative, antique, or sentimental pieces. Ensuring they are properly packed for a move across the Sunshine Coast or into storage is essential to prevent cracks, chips, or breakage.

Follow these expert tips to secure your vase during transport.

• Choose a Sturdy Box: Use a double-walled cardboard box slightly larger than the vase, allowing for protective padding.
• Wrap the Vase Securely: Start with soft tissue paper or foam wrap, then add layers of bubble wrap for extra cushioning.
• Reinforce the Base & Rim: Apply additional padding around the bottom and top edges, as these are the most vulnerable points.
• Fill the Inside: Stuff the inside of the vase with crumpled paper or foam to prevent pressure cracks.
• Use Cushioning Material: Line the box with packing peanuts, foam, or soft fabric to absorb shocks and vibrations.
